Our Native American Fire-Making Kit includes a fire board (hearth) made from Cedar, tinder from Cottonwood bark, and a fire stick (drill) crafted from either California Buckeye, Mule Fat or Blue Elderberry.

To make a fire just like Native Americans have done for hundreds of years, simply rotate the fire stick in the hole on the cedar fire board until you develop a pile of dust that smolders. Then feed in some of the tinder bundle and gently blow until a flame appears.  If you get really good at this, you can start a fire within 2-5 minutes!

As with any hand crafted item, each kit is unique and may look slightly different from the one pictured.  Can be used 2-3 times with the material provided, but you will need to obtain more tinder when you run out.

NOTE: This product creates a real fire!  As with any flame, adult supervision and extreme caution are required.
