Yosemite - Seasons of Magic
Join me to experience the ever-changing beauty of Yosemite National Park and the expansive Sierra Nevada on an extraordinary adventure. Feel the mist of Bridalveil Fall. Delight in your first glimpse of Half Dome and Yosemite Valley from historic Tunnel View. Walk among towering sequoia trees. Hear natural and cultural history stories of this legendary landscape as we delve into the geology, forests, waterfalls and people during fascinating field trips into Yosemite National Park. Cost is about $2,000/person for a week of adventure including food, lodging, daily transportation to the park.
Three Parks - National Parks of the Sierra
Let Chris and Rosemay lead your learning while you breathe crystal-clear air as we explore Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. Enjoy field trips where you’ll see the key sites while learning natural and cultural history, including the influence of John Muir. Trip costs approximately $2,000/person for a week of adventure including food, lodging, travel between parks.
Yosemite: Catch a breathtaking first glimpse of Half Dome and El Capitan. Stand beneath the remarkable waterfalls in Yosemite.
Kings Canyon: Explore America’s deepest canyon! Sit on Muir Rock and share stories in the place where John Muir addressed the Sierra Club.
Sequoia: Take a walk, then sit quietly for an encounter with the largest trees in the world.
CalNat- Cambria
Earn your CalNat certification on the beautiful Central Coast of California at Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria. Rich with natural science wonders in forest, field, and shore, you will learn the required natural history basics of the CalNat program with a marine science flourish. This Nature Up Close CalNat Program at Camp Ocean Pines is led by me and other passionate naturalists and professors. This immersion program includes 7 days of field trips and lectures from enthusiastic leaders with decades of experience in the field. Food, lodging, materials, and field trips are included in the cost, which is around $1,900 (some scholarships available)
